Search for claimed horses, and who they have been claimed by, in this section.
All of the horses in a Selling Race except the winner, which is auctioned on the racecourse, and all of the horses in a Claiming Race are able to be claimed at a value set against the horse by the trainer when making the entry. Who can submit a claim and how a claim can be submitted is detailed in the Protocol for Claimants contained in the Rules of Racing.
It should always be borne in mind that it is a breach of the Rules of Racing relating to claiming for any person to be a party to more than one claim or to submit a claim when somebody they are already in a registered partnership with has done so. Any person who thinks that they may be in breach of either Rule should ask the claims telephone operator for the names of the earlier claimants.
The Rules also prevent a horse that is the subject of a successful unfriendly claim from running for six months if it is sold, gifted or leased to one of the unsuccessful claimants. So as to avoid such a restriction, the names of all claimed horses and the respective claimants can be searched below.
