On hearing the sad news of the death of Alan Lee, The Times’ Racing Correspondent, BHA Chairman Steve Harman said:

“Alan was a true professional. All those who came across him enjoyed his company – his wisdom, advice, wit, warmth and kindness. His passion for the Sport was huge, as was his ambition for its future.

“I had talked to Alan shortly before his death and was pleased to hear he had been feeling better. All our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family. His really is such a huge loss to British Racing.”
