“The independent Disciplinary Panel of the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) will convene on Thursday 18 April 2019 to consider an appeal brought by Charlie Bennett, a licensed jockey, against the decision of the Stewards at Kempton on 12 April 2019 to find him in breach of Rule (B)54 and to suspend him for 6 days for improper riding in The £100 Profit Boost at 32redsport.com Classified Stakes (Class 6) (Div I) when riding POETIC MOTION.”
As such it has been agreed between the BHA, Mr Bennett and the Professional Jockeys Association that the decision and penalty will be amended and tomorrow’s Appeal no longer needs to take place. This decision has been ratified by the BHA’s independent Disciplinary Officer.
