The BHA has today confirmed that the two Steeple Chases scheduled to take place at Leicester’s fixture on Monday 14 November have been abandoned and replaced with a further Hurdle race, creating an all-Hurdle card.

With little appreciable rain in the track’s forecast, which would be needed to ease the Firm going on the Chase course, a decision has been taken to ensure the safest possible meeting for all participants.

The two abandoned chases will be replaced by a further Handicap Hurdle, forming a six-race card, for which entries will close at noon on Tuesday 8 November.
