Racing staff will have 13 chances to win an array of prizes thanks to the BHA and Careers in Racing’s golden ticket initiative for Racing Staff Week, it has been announced today.
Racing Staff Week, an initiative started by Racing Welfare in 2016, aims to bring the racing industry together to inform and engage horseracing followers and supporters about the passion, skill and dedication required to work with racehorses.
There will be 13 golden tickets hidden across racecourses and training centres by BHA Raceday Officials or Racing Welfare Officers over the course of Racing Staff Week 2017, which runs from 1st July to 8th July.
12 of the 13 golden tickets can be redeemed for a £100 voucher from a choice of high street retailers including Amazon and iTunes.
The 13th golden ticket will be an invitation for two people to attend the Godolphin Stud and Stable Staff Awards Ceremony in 2018, nominations for which open on the last day of Racing Staff Week, Saturday 8th July.
The winner will be required to return the winning golden ticket in a pre-paid envelope to 75 High Holborn, along with a completed claim form to include name, address, employer’s name and which voucher they would like.
Nick Rust, Chief Executive of the BHA, said: “All of the racing industry is coming together for Racing Staff Week and I hope the golden tickets will be a fun and interactive way for BHA to show its appreciation for all the work that racing staff put in behind the scenes.”
