Due to waterlogging on the straight course, the Clerk of the Course at Redcar, in conjunction with the BHA’s Racecourse Inspectorate, has declared the Straight Course unraceable around the 7f and 8f starts for the fixture on 1 April. As a consequence, race number 11271, The Redcar Straight-Mile Championship Stakes Qualifier (Handicap) (Class 4) over one mile has been transferred to the Round Mile. Additionally, the two races over 7f have been cancelled, i.e. race number 11272, The Follow Redcarracing on Facebook and Twitter Handicap Stakes (Class 5) and race number 11276, The Racing UK on Sky 432 Selling Stakes (Class 6), and BHA has programmed two races in their place.
The two new races are as follows:
3.30 No 11278 The Racing UK On Sky 432 Selling Stakes (Class 6) to be run over Six Furlongs
5.00 No 11279 The Follow Redcarracing on Facebook and Twitter Handicap Stakes (Class 5) to be run over Five Furlongs
Safety factors for the 8f and 6f races will be reduced to 10. These new races will close according to the normal schedule and full race conditions can be found under Fixtures and Races on the Racing Admin website
