Following a season where abandonments have again been prevalent and with current entry and declaration levels high, the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) is pleased to announce an additional fixture, which will take place on Sunday, 21st April, at Newcastle Racecourse.
The seven race card will close at noon on Monday, 15th April, with declarations to run made by 10 a.m. on Friday, 19th April.
All races are free to enter and the ground is currently described as Good to Firm, Good in Places. James Armstrong, Clerk Of The Course at Newcastle, reports there to be rain at present and the track will be vertidrained next week. In addition, watering will take place, if needed, to aim for Good to Soft conditions.
This additional fixture is the second of four planned additional Sunday Jump fixtures. Dates and venues for the remainder are 28th April at Huntingdon and 12th May at Kempton. Race conditions for the Huntingdon fixture will be announced later today, with the Kempton card set for release on Friday, April 26th.
The BHA is grateful to the Levy Board and Newcastle Racecourse for their help in staging this fixture.
