Following recent abandonments and with the current weather threatening further fixtures, British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has programmed a card of Jumpers’ Bumpers to take place on Friday 31 January at Kempton Park.

The six race card will be made up of events aimed primarily at Steeple Chasers and Hurdlers.

Ordinarily, under the Rules of Racing, horses which have run in Steeple Chases or Hurdle Races are not eligible to run in National Hunt Flat races, but given the recent disruption to the fixture list, BHA has modified the Rules with regard to this fixture.

The track will be power harrowed to produce ‘standard to slow’ conditions, with the aim of broadly replicating turf conditions described as the ‘slow side of good’.

The races close at noon on Wednesday 29 January with declarations to run to be made by 10.00am on Thursday 30 January. Full race conditions are available on the Racing Admin website under Fixtures and Races.
