Following recent abandonments and with current weather patterns continuing to prove challenging, the British Horseracing Authority’s (BHA) Racing Department, with support from Horserace Betting Levy Board (HBLB) has programmed a card of ‘Jumpers’ Bumpers’ to take place on Sunday 16 February at Kempton Park.

This six race card has the potential to divide up to a maximum of eight races and is made up of events aimed primarily at Steeple Chasers and Hurdlers.

Ordinarily, under the Rules of Racing, horses which have run in Steeple Chases or Hurdle Races are not eligible to run in National Hunt Flat races, but given recent conditions and disruption to the fixture list, BHA has modified the Rules with regard to this fixture.

The track will be power harrowed to produce ‘standard to slow’ conditions, with the aim of broadly replicating turf conditions described as the ‘slow side of good’.

The races close at noon on Thursday 13 February, with declarations to run to be made by 10.00am on Friday 14 February. Full race conditions are available on the Racing Admin website under Fixtures and Races.
