The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) can confirm an additional All-Weather fixture will take place at Southwell on Sunday 29 September.
The fixture will comprise of seven races, with the ability to divide to nine, and entries will close at 12 noon on Friday ahead of declarations being made at the 24-hour stage on Saturday.
The BHA is grateful to the Horserace Betting Levy Board for their contribution to the funding of prize money for this additional meeting.
Tom Byrne, Head of Racing and Betting at the BHA, said:
“We have added a fixture at Southwell following the abandonment of Ffos Las’s meeting in order to ensure that we retain race opportunities at a time the demand within the horse population exists.
“The addition of this fixture followed the normal process and took into consideration the potential geographical spread of fixtures, balancing all factors in order to achieve the best possible outcome for the sport.”
