The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has confirmed the abandonment of two races at Chepstow’s meeting on Tuesday 16 May after the round course was deemed to be unraceable by the Clerk of the Course and Racecourse Inspectorate.
As a result, an additional race will be held to ensure the fixture can go ahead as a six-race card. The additional race is a 7f Class 4 (66-85) 3yo+ Fillies’ Handicap and entries for this will close tomorrow (Saturday) at 12noon, with declarations taking place at 10am on Sunday along with the rest of the fixture.
The race conditions of the two abandoned races are:
- 1m 4f Class 6 4yo+ Handicap (46-60)
- 2m Class 5 4yo+ Handicap (51-70).
