The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) can confirm that Sedgefield’s fixture on Wednesday 19 February has been transferred to Doncaster.

This decision has been made following concerns about wear and tear to some areas of the racing surface at Sedgefield. The BHA Racecourse Inspectorate and Racecourse Executive agree that the track would benefit from a period of rest and repair ahead of fixtures scheduled for March.

Maintenance and repair work at Sedgefield are already underway and will continue in close liaison with BHA Racecourse Inspectorate.

Entries for next Wednesday’s fixture at Doncaster will close as normal at noon on Thursday 13 February.
