Following the independent Disciplinary Panel’s reasons regarding Hughie Morrison published this morning, the BHA’s Head of Media Robin Mounsey made the following statement:
“The BHA is grateful to the Disciplinary Panel for producing its full written reasons, which reiterate the findings from their initial result.
“The Disciplinary Panel found that the BHA ‘properly ran the case’ and fulfilled its duty to Mr Morrison to act fairly.
“The independent Panel makes a number of observations regarding its interpretation of the rules which the BHA will consider as part of its response to the Philip Hobbs case. We will set out our approach towards these matters, and other issues arising from the panel’s findings, in due course.”
