A tour of Henry Ceci?_x0019_s yard and the chance to visit Dalham Hall Stud are the highlights of two Racehorse Ownership Open Days for prospective racehorse owners run by the British Horseracing Board (BHB).
The Open Days, organised by BHB’s Ownership Marketing Group, take place in Newmarket on Monday 1st and Friday 5th July, and have attracted over 100 delegates.
During the Open Days, delegates will also visit Newmarket’s gallops and have the chance to learn about various aspects of ownership, as people connected with the sport discuss topics such as ‘How to Set-Up and Run a Partnership’ and ‘Types of Ownership and Financial Considerations’.
Delegates are also being invited back to Newmarket on 10th July to tour Tattersalls, witness the Tattersalls July Sales and to attend the second day of the July Meeting at Newmarket Racecourse.
Paul Struthers, Ownership Marketing Executive, said: “The Open Days are designed to offer potential owners a taste of what it would be like to be an owner, and provide them with information that will help them become involved. Whether you are looking to get involved in a share in one horse, or a string of racehorses, these Open Days have something for everyone.”
The BHB will be holding two more Open Days in 2002, one in Malton on 6th September and one in Lambourn on 4th October. Anyone who would like to attend one of these Open Days can get more information or reserve a place by calling Paul Struthers at the BHB on 020 7343 3321 or visiting the BHB website, www.bhb.co.uk.
The cost to take part in the Open Days is just £59 (inc. VAT). However, if a delegate from either event becomes a registered owner within a year, the fee is refunded in full.
