Following the abandonment of racing at Newbury on Saturday 23rd March, the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) is pleased to confirm that the DBS Spring Sales Bumper (A Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race) (Class 2) will be transferred to Ayr on Saturday 20th April 2013. The race takes the place of the existing Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race, which will now move to Friday 19th April at the Scottish Grand National meeting. The DBS Spring Sales Bumper will now be run for a revised Minimum Guaranteed Value of £30,000.
The 59 original entries will stand and trainers wishing to confirm must do so by noon on Monday 15th April. Declarations are to be made by 10:00am on Friday 19th April.
In terms of the National Hunt Flat Race that was originally scheduled for Saturday 20th April, that race will now be run at Ayr on Friday 19th April, as part of an eight-race card. The original closing date of noon on Monday 15th April will stand, but the revised declaration date is now 10:00am on Thursday 18 April.
