Waterlogging on the round course has forced the Ffos Las Executive, in consultation with the BHA’s Racecourse Inspectorate, to cancel three races at its fixture on July 24th. In response, the BHA’s Racing Department has programmed three new races, which will close at noon on Thursday, July 19th. Declarations to run will follow the normal procedure.

Therefore, race numbers 44831, 44835 and 44836 on the round course will not take place and have been replaced by the following races:

Race no 44839 5f 3yo+ 46-55 Class 6 Handicap
Race no 44830 6f 2yo 0-65 Nursery Handicap

The current going description is heavy, waterlogged in places on the round course. Clerk of the course, Tim Long, said: “We raced on heavy going on Tuesday and that obviously has an impact on the ground. There has been another one inch of rain overnight and there is no chance of the round course recovering in time for Tuesday’s fixture, therefore it seems sensible to offer alternative races.”
