BHB Chairman, Peter Savill, said today:
“”The BHB is continuing its discussions with the Levy Board about the complex issues surrounding the shape and funding of Fixture List 2000. In so doing, it remains very aware of the staffing difficulties to which, in particular, a combination of Saturday evening and Sunday fixtures gives rise.
“”The BHB remains determined to make progress with the restructuring of the Fixture List, embracing a continuous Sunday programme in summer, which will assist Racing in developing a product which will appeal to more and more customers in an increasingly competitive leisure market.
“”In the meantime speculation based on a discussion document which was produced over two months ago is unhelpful. That document was produced specifically as a basis for consultation with interested parties, as a result of which changes have already been made.””
