Following the abandonment of racing at Sandown Park on Saturday 4 January, British Horseracing Authority (BHA) is pleased to announce that the Mares’ Listed Hurdle Race (Class 1) has been transferred to Warwick on Saturday 11 January 2014.

The race will be re-opened and entries close at noon on Wednesday 8 January. Declarations to run should be made by 10am Friday 10 January 2014. The race will form part of an eight race card.

BHA is grateful to the Levy Board and Warwick Racecourse for their assistance in rescheduling this important race in the mares’ programme.

“It was obviously disappointing that Sandown Park were forced to abandon their fixture last Saturday but we are pleased that the Listed Mares’ Race has been rescheduled to take place at Warwick. The race will be a great addition to our already strong card and we’re looking forward to seeing some talented mares at the track. We’re grateful to the Levy Board and BHA for their support.”
