The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has today confirmed that new fixtures at Newcastle racecourse will take place on 29 and 30 April to replace the lost fixtures that were due to take place at Ayr on those dates.

The fixtures were offered out to racecourses with priority being given to northern racecourses. Newcastle was the only northern racecourse to submit an application.

The fixture on 29 April will be an afternoon fixture featuring a seven-race card, while the fixture on 30 April will be an evening fixture, also featuring a seven-race card.

Entries for both fixtures will close tomorrow, Thursday 25 April at 12 noon. Declarations for 29 April will close at 10am on Saturday 27 April. Declarations for 30 April will close at 10am on Sunday 28 April.
