Senior Steward, Christopher Spence, Pays Tribute to Hm Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother

Christopher Spence, Senior Steward of the Jockey Club, of which the Queen Mother was patron, commented:

“Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother was a wonderful supporter of racing. She made a remarkable and lasting contribution as an owner, breeder and racegoer.

“One can only hope that she got as much pleasure from being involved with the sport as racing did from having her as its most celebrated patron.

“Racing will remember her with the greatest affection.”
