Owners, Jockeys and Trainers should make sure that their sponsorship arrangements are correctly registered with the BHA. This includes all sponsorship on clothing or equipment on the racecourse and any payments from a betting operator for non-training or riding services (more information found under commercial arrangements below).
Should you have any questions regarding advertising on clothing or equipment on the racecourse please contact the registrations team at Weatherbys via [email protected] or 01933 440011.
Should you have any queries regarding sponsorship for non-training or non-riding services by a betting operator please contact the BHA via [email protected] or 020 7152 0260.
Owners
Owners should register their sponsorship agreements online through the Racing Admin system. You should ensure your sponsorship arrangements are in line with the Owner Sponsorship Code of Conduct and, in addition to the registration with the BHA, you should have a separate sponsorship contract in place between you and the sponsor.
If you are sponsored as part of your trainer’s yard agreement, you do not need to register this through Racing Admin as the trainer will do this themselves.
Trainers
Trainers should register their yard agreements online through the Racing Admin system. Through Racing Admin you will be able to add and remove owners and horses from the agreement.
Should you receive payment from a betting operator for non-training services you must also complete the online form located in the commercial arrangements section below.
Jockeys
Jockeys should register their on course sponsorship by completing the jockey sponsorship contract (found within the Jockey Sponsorship Code of Conduct) before emailing this to [email protected].
Should you receive payment from a betting operator for non-training services you must also complete the online form located in the commercial arrangements section below.
Commercial Arrangements
In accordance with Rule (J)2 of the Rules of Racing, Jockeys or Trainers who receive payment for non-riding or non-training services in respect of an arrangement with a Betting Organisation must notify the BHA via the online form below.
These services include, but are not limited to, blog posts, social media work, Q&A sessions, attendance at company functions, photo shoots, video content, yard visits or a commitment to wearing branded clothing.
