The Horse Welfare Board (HWB) is seeking an Independent Chair to drive the next phase of British racing’s industry-wide horse welfare strategy. This is a high-profile leadership role at
the heart of the sport, ensuring racehorses receive the highest standards of care before, during, and after their racing careers.

As Chair, you will lead, oversee, and advocate for welfare initiatives that align with ‘A Life Well Lived’, the industry’s existing strategy. You will bring together trainers, owners, breeders, racecourses, regulators, and welfare organisations to shape the future of horse welfare while balancing the interests of the sport and its stakeholders.
