Reporting into the Head of Regulation, the Senior Regulatory Lawyer is accountable for regulatory legal advice, providing legal support to the Regulatory team and undertaking the BHA’s case management function for prosecutions of breaches of the Rules of Racing, Code of Conduct and Safeguarding Regulations. The role includes case presentation as well as advisory work and the drafting of new rules and regulations.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and diligent in a fast-paced environment. You will be able to support the Head of Regulation in the management of lawyers, secondees and external counsel. You should have experience working end to end with complex case management, as well as exposure to project management and implementation and delivery of training programmes to the wider team. The role will involve review and sign-off case summaries from lawyers and regulatory advisors, as well as providing overarching support to our junior lawyers in the team.
